I grew up in the beautiful city of Caracas, a well populated city filled with buildings but always surrounded by nature. When I moved to Ireland in 2015 I got to discover a different architecture and style of living, and with time I discovered other European customs and aesthetics that made me fell in love with the new. Being Latina, I was accustomed to vibrant, colourful ways, and that is amazing, but I discover the beauty of the muted softer tones that this side of the world offers.
Later I discover that not only I loved the aesthetics but the rituals too. The tea and biscuits, the quality time in silence beside a warm fire, the cosy corners where I could knit a pair of socks and the watercolour painting of soft nature. That is what I try to communicate with my illustrations. I consider myself to be a dynamic artist, adaptative, curious and ready to explore new techniques and styles, where I express my colourful and loud roots, and discover the lovely and peaceful traditions from this side of the world.
